2024 has truly been a transformative year for me, both personally and professionally. It has been a year of pushing boundaries and receiving well-deserved recognition, while also highlighting the need for continued growth and opportunities to showcase our skills as individual professionals in the face of bias towards companies over independent contractors.
Despite the challenges of the past two years, including a busy workload and a home renovation in 2021, I have found ways to advance my career and recognize the value I bring to every project, whether as part of a PMO or as a hard-working developer tying everything together.
While I may have reservations about boasting of awards, the acknowledgement and praise I have received this year have been a source of validation and motivation for me. As we approach the new year, I am excited for the potential of new projects on the horizon. Some are already in the pipeline, while others are waiting to be discovered.
