In November 2017 I began assisting ABDO to complete the implementation of a new Membership and Exams database which had been unsuccessful for almost 5 years. After 6 months we had a live MVP. Following this, we further improved and implemented additional features and functionality to enable improved user experience, reduced running costs and groundwork for an increased digital offering.

In August 2018 we began scoping out and tendering for new public website, and a provider who would be able to follow on with a new online portal for members.

In April 2019 the public site went live, and work began on the portal area. In Summer 2019 we released the first phase of the portal which included online membership applications, online subscription payments, add-on's such as Professional Indemnity Insurance, as well as a self serve for customers to keep their details up to date and a locum register for members to either register as a locum, or search for locums in their area.

In January 2020 we released the second phase of the portal for examinations, which included online applications, historical and current results, session based information and the ability for students to see exactly which exams they are eligible for and are still outstanding for their qualifcations.

In March 2020 we released the final phase of the portal implementation project which was for CPD. Allowing an integrated system for CPD for the first time in ABDO's history. Members are able to see the points they have earnt through the Associations events, and take online CPD which immediately syncs with their record and provides a record within the CRM for ABDO to keep a complete history against the members primary record within the organisation.

Sarah Mayhew has worked with ABDO over 3 years, providing incredible support and valuable consultancy across the organisation. She has a positive attitude to solving all sorts of problems from simple to complex, and has built excellent relationships with everyone she works with.
